Disneyland continued and the beach

 We came back to Disneyland after having dinner at Medevial Times. We went on Splash Mountain and so my little man looks wet and confused in this picture.... He is actually driving for the first time and nervous....

Disneyland.....sorry its late

 My brother, sister-in-law and husband surprised the kids with Disneyland. Karl and I drove with Tyty to Anaheim in two days and met up with my brothers family for the big day.

 It was also a treat because we had not met Brady, my nephew and I was so excited to see him..... He was half awake......

 The kids did not know till this moment WHY we were meeting in a hotel room so early in the morning..... SURPRISE!!!

Fourth of July

We got invited to go to our Home Teachers house for the Fourth of July. They really love it and have their whole family over. We ended up going over to the park after the BBQ. IT was a blast. It was also a day after we got back from our trip to AZ and I had to start my new job the next day.... it was a busy few weeks!!

Oregon Trip

My Grandma has this statue and until Ty ty saw it it has been in the garage, but we brought it out to play with.

Its been moons since I posted anything on here.... We have kept ourselves entertained with cousins and different things. Ty ty and I have just got back from going to see my grandparents in Oregon. I miss them so much and I wish that we lived closer. As you can see from the pictures, we had a nice time!

Easter Egg Hunts

Tyler really got the hang of the Easter Egg Hunts this year..... we still have a few more to do, this last Saturday we were invited to Aunt Debbie's house with Karl's cousin Jennie and her daughter Sophie...they LOVED it...

NO plastic eggs were harmed in the hunts this year ( last year ty ty would step on them to open them before putting them in the basket)

We also went to the Church and had a brunch and egg hunt....... ty ty raced through to get as many eggs as he could. I love that he understands it better this year

Last Day of March

Today is the last day of March and I am pretty shocked that this year has gone by so fast. In this last month I have been cleared from my neurologist to go back to work... (now to just find a job) I have been cleared of surgery, MRI's came out clear and I have been able to take care of alot of personal things that have been hanging in the balance. I feel alot better and I hope all the work I have put into everything will pay off.
In the month of March my hubby and I also celebrated our 7th anniversary. It was wonderful. I should have posted about it earlier, but getting all my appointments taken care of and everything calming down has taken time. In my little girl dreams I was going to have two sets of twins (so I only had to be pregnant twice) and I never thought I would have to go through everything I have gone through, but my little ty ty has made all the physical trials worth it and I am happy that I have my cute little family and we are continuing to get better. Karl is going through college now and he is AMAZING at it!!! He will probably never tell you, so I will HE IS SO SMART!!! I love you Karl!

Thankful

Yesterday I had a follow up appointment with my neurologist and she told me that I am not having peti malt seizures...thats awesome!!! Only the big ones are cause for concern and that was back in January. So I have also heard back from the neurosurgeon and she said that there was no reason for surgery.The scar tissue from the brain abscess is not blocking the fluid from leaving my brain. I do have more fluid in my brain but that is only because that is where the brain abscess was and the fluid is filling in that space.
I do not have to go into see the neurologist for two months, just for a check up, so that is nice that my appointments are going to be slowing down. I have less than four months left of not driving YAY! Karl will be happy with that when my sentence is done.

My posts have been weird

Tomorrow I go in for my last (cross my fingers) MRI. This one will most likely determine if I am going to have brain surgery or not. There have been alot of other things going on but doctor appointments have definitely been keeping my days busy. My mind has been quite jumbled. I have alot to be thankful for. I have alot of things to work on. I wish I could be the best person for everyone but at times I fail. I have internalized alot of things lately and done alot of thinking and in the end its still all in my head. Thanks for taking time to read this :)

I love that line. I said that to my 12 year old niece and she looked at me like she was going to tackle me. I have been trying to count my blessings instead of my tears. So hear goes :

My Valentines Day with Little Man

It was raining today and so we had a picnic inside and Ty ty was so excited at the idea... Almost that his momma could possibly be so silly to have a picnic IN the house!!

Fruit snacks are always a hit at any event. Notice the peanut butter smeared on his face?

Things that change

What doesn't change? Anyways. I figured I would update here the last week..... I saw the doctor and he did blood work... Everything came back normal. Not surprised. He told me to schedule a CT scan, so last Friday I scheduled the scan and I also had an appointment scheduled Friday morning for my neurologist. I went to the Neurologist and she said that she wanted more tests, a EEG and MRI....What about the rest of the letters? lol....... The biggest transition is that she said no driving for 6 months, I had to go 6 months seizure free. That is what I did watching my nieces. I would drive them to school and then run around with the little ones and then pick them up in the evenings. I have been home technically only two days but everything has changed for me.

My Crazy Friday Morning

In my perspective I woke up to Karl standing over me yelling my name. I looked at him in confusion and he asked me if I was ok. I didn't answer in shock and just stared at him. He said he was going to call 911. I just laid there in shock and he mumbled to himself that the phones weren't working. Finally he got ahold of 911 and they showed up. To me it seemed instantaneous. I guess there was time in between.... When the EMT's showed up they asked me questions, some of them I answered, but I was stuck on them asking me what day it was and I didn't know the answer.
Karl later told me that the EMT's were trying to decide whether to take me in the ambulance or me go in our own car. I guess I said that I would go in our car because they sent the ambulance away, but then I wouldn't budge from my bed. They got me in the ambulance and it all seemed a blur. Time didn't make sense to me. When we got to the ER they put an IV in me and did some blood work. The numbers were ok, I ended up being dehydrated and low in potassium. Karl showed up with Tyler and then my dad came. Dad took Ty home with him and we waited alittle longer. They told me that I had a seizure and to go see the neurologist near by.
When I got home, Sunny, Debbie, Daryl and Rachel came over. Debbie took Ty ty, Sunny helped around the house, I got a blessing from Daryl and Rachel and Daryl later brought us dinner.
I had spinal menongitis when I was 10 months old. I did have seizures with that too, but really since then nothing major like this happened.
Since friday my body has been revolting against me. My muscles are sore but getting better everyday. I do truly appreciate all my friends and family and the prayers and support they have more than willingly given me and my family.
I will keep you posted on what the dr says.

So fun

Last night we went out with Daryl and Rachel. It was so nice to be out with Karl and not worry about keeping Ty entertained. It was a beautiful view of Bellevue and Seattle. In the midst of all this we are still dealing with changes that we don't know the results are. I have been keeping myself on a pretty good diet. If anyone knows me, I do really good and then it gets tough... I am at the tough stage. I am down 11 lbs which is wonderful, but I have about 95 more to go. All my chocolate is depleting and soon will be gone. I have noticed that I would rather eat smaller portions of fatty foods, rather than eat more of the lite stuff, but I think I am getting to the point where I don't have any option but to change things up completely.

Lots of Changes

Karl is planning on going back to school...I am so proud of him. I think that there will be an excitement of what will be in store for him, but I am very excited that he is doing this. There has been alot of thought and now action to get things going for him. I know he is nervous and it is scary, but he will be able to get through this.
As I try many times I am trying to lose weight. It hit me alot in this last year, because I would have separate expectations for Ty than for me when it came to what snacks he could have and how much I would regulate for him. Then I found myself excited for him to go to bed so I could indulge in that sinful snack. I was going back down that slippery slop of hoarding, like I did before. Some things that I have done in the past that have helped immensly is:

• Portion out ALL snacks. 25 crackers means 25 crackers in a ziploc baggy
• workout every day, even if its just stretching and doing little stuff here and there...IT adds up
• no food after 8:30...I gotta work on that one

• having a specific time to eat snacks during the day
